A new species of Anomalocarid has been found in the Cambrain deposits at Chengjiang China. This new species may be small, about 8cm, but is a huge find for science.

One of the features that make specimens from the Chengjiang biota special is their tendancy to preserve the soft flesh of the creatures being fossilized. This new anomlacarid is no different.

Several nearly complete examples of Lyrarapax unguispinus have been found that preserve muscles, digestive tracts and even the brain.
