While the first floor of the Ivory Tower is probably actually journal paywalls, another hidden aspect of science is the mysterious "conference". I just want to know if there is any interest in covering the goings on at conferences that the scientists of this blog visit (i.e. summaries of great talks and posters, or even awesome anecdotes). Is this something people would be interested in?

Conferences are often great places to learn about the cutting edge, before studies reach publication, but they get very little (or very poor) coverage in the media. I think it certainly fit the goal of Science Made Easy. Let me know what everybody thinks about this.

BTW, personally, I am likely (assuming abstract submission works out) attending two conferences this year, a symposium on Cognition, and the Society for Neuroscience's annual meeting. I'd love to report on these if people are interested.

Edit: so I will give this a try. Hopefully it goes well
